Wine Cellar

The Chicago Chapter is unique among the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs chapters worldwide in that it maintains a wine collection developed since the 1970’s. The collection, consisting of over 4,500 bottles of about 150 different types of fine and quality wines, are stored in a secured, temperature and humidity controlled leased lockers in the Chicago area. By maintaining an extensive quality cellar, the Chicago Chapter has, through the years, been able to enjoy well-aged wines with well-crafted cuisines at reasonable costs. With foresight, through intelligent and selective purchases - buying them when the price is reasonable and aging them into their prime, the Chicago Chapter hopes to perpetuate the vinous pleasures of its current and future members for decades to come. Here are some examples of well-aged wines withdrawn from our cellar and served at various Chapter events during the recent gastronomic seasons:

  • Champagne Krug Grand Cuvée 1996
  • Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Échézeaux 1990
  • Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Richebourg 1990
