Dîner Amical at Honey's

On September 19, Chaîne Chicago opened its 2016/2017 season with a “Dîner Amical” at Honey’s, a stylish fine-dining hot-spot that opened last June in the West Loop. Executive Chef/Partner Charles Welch created a special menu that showcased Honey’s thoughtfully sourced, seasonal American cuisine infused with bright, bold Mediterranean flavors. This stunning new restaurant was a brilliant venue for 72 members to renew camaraderie after the summer break.

Guests entered the unassuming brick building to discover a chic space with high ceilings and massive skylights, checkerboard tiles, reclaimed wood floors and antique fixtures. The festivities commenced in the bright lounge with a champagne reception that allowed guests to mingle while sampling exceptional canapés. Attendees were then seated in the dining rooms for a multi-course culinary adventure with wines from Chaîne Chicago’s celebrated cellar. In addition, guests were treated to 1997 Château Montus Madiran poured from an Imperial bottle generously donated by Dame Linda Garard and Chevalier Jamie Garard.

As the evening concluded, Bailli Mon Roldan thanked and presented a Chaîne plaque to the Honey’s team, including Chef Charles, superstar GM/Partner Tyrone Redic and Partner Andrew Miller. With friendships reinvigorated and palates pleased by extraordinary food and wine pairings, Honey’s proved to be an outstanding venue to continue Chaîne Chicago’s 2016 50th anniversary fêtes.

Chaîne Chicago is excited to announce the opening of our 2016/2017 season with a “Dîner Amical” at Honey’s, a stylish fine-dining hot-spot in the West Loop. This stunning new restaurant, led by a group of friends and industry veterans who are well known to Chaîne Chicago (including GM Tyrone Redic who participated in memorable Chaîne events at Grace and Acadia), will undoubtedly be a brilliant venue for members to renew camaraderie after the summer break.

Executive Chef and Partner Charles Welch (Sepia, mk) has created a special menu for Chaîne Chicago that showcases Honey’s thoughtfully sourced, seasonal American cuisine infused with bright, bold Mediterranean flavors. We will begin the evening with our customary champagne reception saying hello to members we may not have seen over the summer and interact with new and future long-term friends.  The canapés will be delicious and not to be missed. From there we will be seated for a multi-course, palate-pleasing culinary adventure. Wines from our celebrated cellar have been carefully selected to enhance each course.
